I agree, I think all forum members should boycott bidding on pennies !!!!

There are often bargains to be found well hidden on distant shores, Mr T. Oddly, Aus is one of the few places I've never bought anything from - which is odd, considering there's a fair bit of MIJ guitar - shaped goodness lurking (although not usually on ebay). Plus, exchange rates are favourable, too - guess not so much for you, huh? That DCAM signifier is just the PCGS contraction of 'deep cameo', Nordle. I'd certainly class quite a few of my bullion Brits as cac(k), though

Because one of the most popular denominations.

It's all good - generally I don't buy from overseas because I don't like the wait more than anything. I've mostly bought books from the UK this year anyway and the were books which were always going to be slightly pricey anyway...

Plenty of time to branch out into other areas!

I'm sure I'll get my comeuppance for pointing that out. Not least because the gimp I scored that 2008 Brit off has sent it via Herpes - I mean 'Hermes' (it's a job creation scheme for the terminally fu*k - witted masquerading as a courier co). I'll probably find it smashed & corroded 'delivered' behind one of my bins in 2019...

That's lovely. I really like the W&M silver coins with that reverse design. I'm on the lookout for a 1693 normal date shilling.

Is the CAM part the same as the CAC service?

It sure is - I find ebay Austrlia to be a pretty mediocre place to buy Australian coins, but a decent place to buy world coins, yet every so often there's some quality Australian stuff listed too.

I really think we need a section for pennies. There is so many different threads on this subject that it's taking over ther forum. 1 thread of pennies with sub sections. if I see another post about pennies I'll scream.......?

I am simply pointing out that this coin, very much like the ones you are spamming another site with, is in poor condition and wildly overpriced. Ebay is the place for overdescribed coins, not here.

It appears you want everything for nothing. All you have to do is phone the various auction houses up and ask what their commission rates are for selling. Some will charge more than others, whilst if a coin is valuable enough it might be sold at zero commission. Depending on how much you want for it (reserve price) may determine the commission level. If you already know the prices that these have gone for at a particular grade, then presumably you have a figure in mind. If you want to sell through a middle-man whether it be a dealer or auction then you must expect to receive less than the buyer will pay. In the case of auction results, the buyer will pay his premium, whilst the vendor will receive hammer less any selling commission. Everybody has to make a living, a fact which eludes many would be sellers. Heresay about commission levels is as useful as a chocolate teapot. A quoted number is far more useful. Or you can take pot luck on eBay.
