I recently wrote this for the Tyneside Numismatic Society newsletter, I would be interested in knowing what I have missed / got wrong. Thanks again to the members here who allowed me to use their research and pinch their images. I hope the link works, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2qSaEwccf4fS3dZSWJVWkRDRDA/view?usp=sharing Ian..

Jerry , its as you say about the 1915 clogged 5. I bought one four years back for £15, and at the time I thought, have I paid to much , but I haven't seen another for sale since Terry

I find the 1915 filled 5 quite a difficult one to get an example of. That one you've posted David was definitely on its last legs, another die crack at 7 o'clock and the teeth around the bottom are almost resembling beads they're that clogged up!

Thanks you all for your kind comments, I really appreciate them, but don't be shy, what have I missed? @secret santa - no it wasn't deliberate to make it non printable, to be honest it's the first time I have used Google drive and there doesn't seem to be an option to allow printing, unless someone can tell me how. I'm quite happy to send you a copy if you PM me your email address. Ian..

Privacy is the biggest problem with Windows 10, and changing the settings is extremely difficult even for people who understand the workings of the OS. They record every keystroke you make and send all this information back to themselves (supposedly to build up a profile to help make 'suggestions'). Their updates are also causing major problems with wiping applications, because they're deemed malicious, like Adobe of acrobat. For now it seems it's another must avoid, and just stick with Windows 7 which has always been the best since it came out..

Apples biggest sales boost...Windows 10!! Moved to a Mac after upgrading to Windows 10....thats how bad it was
  16. 1 point
Well i sold my coin in 2007 for around £25 and yours is for sale for around £42 so i think it is priced about right , it should not sell too fast but it also should not "stick" at that price .

Yeah those 2 are hard dates, the 1932 isn't too difficult to get, it just costs a pretty penny, it's the 1934 that you'll be forever looking for and upgrading! Im finally happy with mine, would only need to upgrade if one in UNC and with lustre came along, but I've only ever seen one full BU, forgot where I saw it, and have forever been searching for that picture since

I bought it from Bob Reis, a mail order dealer here in the USA. I've had it a long time, but don't recall how long it has been. It is for sale on my website...10% off to Forum members. http://shop.rlccoins.com/1865-3-Half-Penny-184.htm

http://oxhilldevons.com/2012/05/03/tutorial-fitting-horn-knobs/ Here is a tutorial on fitting the modern equivalent, and there is so much more on the net including old catalogues. It seems so appropriate that I should be debating knobs with you, Flash.? Jerry

As copper halfpenny and farthing varieties have always been an interest of mine this would be a thread I'd happily follow and contribute to. So, for the sake of showing a bit of willing here's one from me which, although originally posted a couple of years ago, might be of interest here to anyone who hasn't seen it. A 1718 halfpenny with the first N of Britannia over an A. An extremely rare and unlisted variety but lower grade and less obvious examples do appear in the Dr. Nicholson and Joe Lee collections.

The Royal Mint are issuing a decimal sixpence as part of their wedding gift sets, another overpriced made up denomination. At £30 they are just having a laugh now. http://www.royalmint.com/shop/The_Silver_Sixpence_2016 Ian..
