My friend just handed me the first Battle of Britain 50p. It is almost mint with only a couple of tiny bag marks. He has been looking for one for me since release. He's a taxi drive and gets loads of 50 pence's every day. First he has seen. So looks like they have just hit our area now!

Not great quality, but a friend got me interested in these , so picked these up on eBay. Does anybody know if there is a published list of these token's type and varieties? Would love one of these as it is local to me, Bet @bhx7 would too?

Fleabay seem to be selling them between £10 -£15 but not in great condition, it would be so helpful to know which branches / sizes were the scarcer. There also seems to be a number of examples counter stamped with a letter and I have not seen any explanation as to why these tokens were counter stamped. Ian..

Indeed it does, thank you Nuts. A picture paints a thousand words. I was surprised how many 1992 10p I had in the change jar, it must have been a popular year. unfortunatly no dot to dot version but I did find 4 B+B types, the rest are A+A its a wild night in my house tonight, the wife is out so decided to sift through the change, now that's done I am reorganising the coin album. She probably thinks I am up to no good, bless her.
