    Quite different if you're familiar with pennies of this vintage.

    it must have been quite obvious to the people who know about these as it went unsold, wort £1 and the postage as a little curio type thing,

    That absolutely hits you in the eye. It's way too bold compared to the genuine article. But quite apart from that, the entire coin just looks wrong. Also the H in the date looks too perfect. The real ones just aren't that sharp.
