Just bought on Ebay a nice example of the 1905 with smaller zero in the date as reported by Terry Eagleton earlier this year.

Despite having sold much of my penny collection, I still have a few interesting coins. I intend to go through them over the next couple of weeks and list on eBay, as I'm keen to move them on. I don't really want to use this forum for free advertising but penny collectors may appreciate a couple of links: 1856 Plain Trident 1848

If genuine the 1921 Australian florin is quite valuable. The George III is a contemporary counterfeit. The George IV has a silver bullion value only.

Hi all, Is there any way to distinguish between a sterling 1920 threepence and a debased 1920 threepence? Thanks Non

I fear his xbox may be some form of x rated box that requires the wearing of a gimp mask to view, just a guess of course, but, it is Peter we're talking about

A must have... according to my rabble.I've not even played a DVD on it yet...you don't want to know Peter's speak on your tender Northern lugs.

I haven't. I was leaving it for a month to see what interest there was in the thread once no new posts were being made. Between the 25/5 and 21/8 it looks like about 50 visits, so 2/day. Not wonderful as it implies random views as opposed to research, but better than nothing. FARTHING SPECIALIST (John Minshull) Paper envelopes, 57mm square.

I have just received a 'bun' penny I bought at a well known USA auction site, with a hammer of $180. By the time I could get the UPS guy to hand it over I worked out that the total cost including auction fees, their excessive postage, customs charges, and additional UPS fees for helping (!) me pay the customs charges worked out at around £240 (yes £, not $). I am pleased to hear that Mike got the 1874 F69. I was watching the bun pennies getting 'passed' by so quickly that I missed this coin (which was the only one I wanted), Sorry John, enjoy the whiskey.
