Good for you. Family first every time. Obviously, I'm a bit older. Before we moved to Cambridge for my wife's Phd Liverpool of the late 1970s/early 1980s was a fun time for me. Played in bands. Made some records. Here's me and Pete Burns LOL (I'm on the left, playing the Telecaster).

Plus a large number of flattering medalets/counters produced in connection with his coronation and death (though Queen Caroline counters also are common).

Hello forum members, I bought this little Edward I penny recently on flea-bay. Wanted to ask the class/type. It looks like a class 1d due to the large lettering, but looking through my Galata Guide to the infinitely confusing pennies of Edward I and Edward II, it looks like it could be one of the class 2 types too. I'm looking for some expert advice please. Thanks guys! Descartes.

Just acquired a Lima sixpence and a copy of ESC. Checked the date on the coin and the ESC seemed to indicate 6 over 5. ESC1758 The obverse is C1 GEORGIUS with a U. This is ESC1756 I'm confused. If it is 6 over 5 does that mean the original coin was 1745 and if so shouldn't the obverse be ESC1756 and not as in the book 1758. Any help appreciated. I include two images of the coin.

I bid on four lots and won three, all below my max. All three are upgrades.

I'm utterly amazed we don't see defacement of George IV coins - a more loathsome monarch it would be hard to find!
