I've always wanted an Ex-J.P. Mass in my hammered coin collection so I bought this on Friday. It's a Henry III VIc1 penny (the first 'short cross' class of Henry after bad king John?) ... I really like the elaborate lettering in the legend!

Not something i normally buy westminster stuff, but i love the medieval them so went and collected the set of 12 50p coin bars from jersey, tiny little things using 1.5 g of silver in each one, anyway have just completed the set at a whopping cost of £330 lol, i could have bought a 1927 proof crown for that ?? i like them anyway,

A Thurrock type potin, i think these were the first coins to be struck in Britain, my first Iron Age coin from an unrecorded Roman villa site i discovered and detect, had plenty of late iron age/ early roman pottery so there was always the chance of some iron age metalwork , this type dates from around 150 Bc to 120, A nice time of year to be out in the fields detecting, albeit a tad muddy,

Looks ok just bad lighting by the widow sun out and curtains giving it a weird look.? Again I learned the hard way like most of us . Things that are just out of focus or just not sure are cleverly designed that way for a reason normally. Not all but most

You called it Coins as rare as that I would stake my life come with some form of provenance side apart from it looking like a complete fake . I was going to add perhaps it has come to the stage where only slabbed authenticated coins will be saleable and raw coins not even if they came with C.O.A the C.O.A would probably be fake as well
