It has been nestling in the garage for the last 3 years...going for the MOT on Wednesday after a complete oil and fluid transfusion. My mother (84 yrs old)has just got out of Papworth after a triple bypass....she wants to do the fast shopping trip again....I'm not trying to kill her off....honestly. My MG is an immaculate Ltd edition Cool Blue and my 22&20 yr old daughters have suddenly taken a greater interest in Dad. May I just say the NHS Doctors/Nurses and ancillary workers are the Dogs Bollox. PS We managed to get her into a convalescence home for a couple of weeks, she has made new friends and the smile is back. The old boot buys me a coin at Xmas and my birthday...great Mum.

Hello guys, I picked up this very miss treated silver hammered coin (I think its hammered, looks thin for milled and its clipped) but it might be milled...scottish? From the original photo I saw I thought it may have been a very worn commonwealth crown but it appears not as the identifiable wreath is not the same style as found on the commonwealth crowns. Facts: Apparently found metal detecting in the UK A little bigger than a Charles I half crown Surface area is significantly worn, only the wreath part is identifiable, the other patterns may be features of the coin, or they may be the mottled effects of the tool that has caused so much damage. Nothing is identifable on the other side. Any help would be appreciated!

These machines also take pre decimal 1/2d's or so have been told....next time a numbnuts says he has a £5 bag of 1967 1/2d's the kids can play the fruit machines for a couple of weeks. 50 2p's to £1 or 480 1/2d's...maybe a good investment.

only 20 grams short on weight. Sorry but if people cannot be bothered to research something that's going to cost them a best part of a £1000 they open themselves up to this kind of scam. Knowledge is power and safety to a certain degree but it at least prevents you from buying this sort of garbage. Fools to themselves on their heads be it.

2p. As existing circulating currency, they are accepted at many outlets including banks, newsagents, supermarkets and any high street business. The can also be used in charity boxes. They are not suitable for on-line payments, because computers are not fitted with a coin payment mechanism.

this is the best one i managed to find on ebay, Half crown of Charles II, so there is a base for you. I would imagine there to be some documentation on the number of each denomination found, and having a quick look about the wreck find itself, that was 1967 and it contained Gold as well as silver, even pieces of 8. so basically anything from sixpences up from any date from milled I would Imagine, as well as trade currency.
