I am trying to clear out some of my spares on Ebay. There are a few items there already, finishing tonight Sunday 18th March, and another batch scheduled to start at the same time. If I can maintain the enthusiasm I will list some more, so please keep watching. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/pbowen24/m.html?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEFSXS%3AMESOI&_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2654 P

Very easy way to tell a 1926 ME from a 1926 regular - the lower colon dot after "GRA" is much closer to the A than on a regular.

I bought a fake gold coin thinking it was real because it was slabbed... turned out to be the right weight if you included the weight of the slab as well.... I thought it might be a copy but was at least hoping for a 9c gold copy - it was clearly brass when I got it. My fault for being greedy I think - it was a few years back - it was an extremely 5 sovereign at a half soveriegn price on a 1 day auction... If it had been real it would have been thousands. Lost 120 sobs there. :-( I guess I should have reported it but it was years ago. :-(

I’m sorry, I don’t understand. Which are you, ‘Guest useless’ or ‘stupid’? And what are you answering? Jerry

I am beginning to think that the blue boxes I have seen are just discoloured / sun bleached green ones .

I was speaking with an 88 year old coin dealer earlier today and the subject of 1951 crowns was discussed. This dealer told me that he got married during the Festival of Britain celebrations in London. He explained to me the reasons for the two different colour boxes that the Crowns were issued in, Green & Magenta. The Green boxes were sold only in the Festival Hall, The Magenta boxes were sold in the Festival Pleasure Gardens on the opposite bank of the Thames.

I will happily pay 5p for the coppers if you will pay postage. Do you take PayPal? I would pay 95p for the pound as there is a bit missing, same terms as above. If you try Ebay do be aware they take 10%. My offer could be to your advantage, unless of course you would rather spend them . Jerry
