I dont think this seller should be encouraged Paddy. The guy has only posted once in twelve months to sell something that is worth two hundred pound less than he is asking. This he is aware of from previous posts and would not like someone oh here or someone who visits the site to feel the coin is being recomended as a good buy.Hardly a contributor to the forum and how do you know you can trust him. We have another thread for this ....The eBay one Sorry if i am sounding abit harsh relaxcraft....but i am just being myself honest and straight.

We prefer to deal in real hard currency on this forum. I don't have any trays that will accept cryptocurrency.

Have a look at his other items - some real bargains here! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Pence-2p-1971-Rare-Coin/263558353036?hash=item3d5d4d508c:g:8BcAAOSwkm9aq6D1 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2p-New-Pence-coin-1981-Two-Pence-Pre-1983-Free-UK-P-P/263558369106?hash=item3d5d4d8f52:g:C-oAAOSwxo9aq6Nm

I also had the same issue with a NGC slabbed 1922 MS 52 halfcrown.. I removed it from the slab and cleaned it with the Al. foil bicarb. of soda method and the results presented below. I know silver dip has been recommended but I think the foil method may be less destructive to the coin as it converts the silver sulfide directly back to metallic silver while emitting sulfurated hydrogen gas while silver dip is an acid that will etch the coin to remove the tarnish including some of the surface of the coin.I have previously posted these pictures but they seemed to relate to this discussion.

George V and Edward VII have similar portraits. If facing right and dated 1902-10, it's Edward and the legend says EDWARDVS, if facing left and dated 1911-36, it's George and the legend says GEORGIVS. £ to a penny yours is George.

As well as making sure that you have good virus protection in place (I use Avast, which is free, and seems to be pretty good) there is a useful tip that not everyone realises: If you hover the mouse pointer over a link without clicking, you should see the actual address it is linking to at the bottom of your browser. (At least that is where it appears on my Chrome browser - it may vary with others.) If the address that appears does not match what you are expecting, don't click! So if you are expecting a link to Barclays Bank and the address that appears starts ivans.bank.ru - you know what is going to happen!

If it's that good why are you touting it on a coin forum? surely something so epic would need a national platform would it not? Jog on sonny not all of us just swam up the thames
