I'm going to get a red one before Brexit happens. As for Corbyn, you mean to say you're not absolutely horrified by the prospect of Jacob Rees-Smog?

Since Corbyn is no further to the left than the average Cabinet Minister of Attlee and Wilson's Governments, (he's certainly not as far left as Benn or Bevin), then I think you're simply reacting to a straw dog created by the likes of Northcliffe, Desmond, and the Barclay Brothers, who are all non-domiciled press barons who don't give a sh*t about Britain as long as the £ keep rolling in.

It is interesting when I chat with young people how many of them prefer this approach to the values of market economies and market forces dictating and the fact that many feel very disenfranchised by these terrible Tories.....there is a great new book in the Horrible Histories series. AS for that Rees-Mogg character verses Corbyn I certainly would choose the latter but then again I am a socialist liberal and anything would be better than a tory.

yes I have spent many months in and around essex near Maldon and find it quite attractive , I like colchester from the Roman point of view. Collagen infused lips and the silicon breast of stick insect women and men who are just as likely to have collagen in various bit that protrude outwards and or silicon have contributed to a look in men that is on the edge of ridiculous and the capacity to seem unable to see self as an object of amusement seems to have passed many by of the aforementioned types. It is a little sad but celebrity has become king and notoriety amongst all generations doesn't even make it a age related affliction. It's fast it's selfie, close to the monstrous, and ridiculous a perfect formula to entertain the masses. No different really I suppose to the colosseum entertainment for the masses. There are enough young people in parts of the country that are not the north east and essex to ensure the continuity of the human species without such afflictions ...thankfully I reamioan an economic refugee here sadly. As I have said if I could arrive at heathrow from Newcastle and apply for refugee status on the ground of disparity in the NHS post code lottery and mental torture of prevailing attitudes then I would, but sadly I dont think that falls under the auspices of the Declaration of Human Rights on asylum. Disability make things a little more complicated. However one good point I just spent a week painting in the lake district which is only an hour and half away. Finished a dozen paintings and loads of sketching in glorious sun.

I started my coin-collecting journey about 4 or 5 years ago and I reached out to Chris for advice on key decimal coins to go for. Chris suggested the following coins: 1983 2p 'New Pence' Mule 1994 £2 Gold Bank of England Mule 1999 £2 Technology (only in uncirculated condition) 2011 Olympics Aquatics withdrawn Lines on Face I'm absolutely delighted to have finally got all of these! It took me several years but got the job done when I managed to come across 1999 Technology Coin graded by NGC MS63.

Didn't realised I sweated so much during the shootout! It was so typical of England's attitude in big world cup matches. Initially, we would play well and gain an advantage. Then we just won't push for another goal and try to make it to full time. The opponents always have a good chance to equalize or even get ahead as a result. And yes, the number of yellow cards for the Colombian Team was shocking.

Were you tuned to the right channel? We played a far superior game, AND Columbia behaved appallingly throughout. A well deserved win.

Can we not bin this thread? Or better still, there must be some govt departments across the world that would be interested in shutting down things like this. People producing fake documents should hardly be encouraged or given exposure.

A line should be drawn in the sand and all those that want little Britain Brexit style may live on one side and the others cross the divide and reject their vote and allow them to elect |Rees Mogg as Leader along with his brood. London can become our (remainers new capital) Let the outers have Boston in Lincolnshire with the cabbage patch kids as their new capital. We can co-opt cornwall into our space and move the cornish to Basildon or thanet and have that as a nice place for holidays.

The toning of 1929 halfcrown looks much better in hand. In fact it seems to enhance the design. It's funny that this does not always translate into photos of coins. I am still having issues photographing coins I think light is the critical thing and getting consistency with the lighting can be difficult. Two features of this coin stand out. Firstly the markings on the king's eyebrow are present and secondly the check design on the thistle between the HALF and FID is fully struck up. I have noticed that these features are often missing from otherwise UNC coins graded MS by NGS etc.

Received 2 coins from AMRcoins both very nice coins at a good price. Perhaps not rare coins but hard to get in really high grades especially the 1915 halfcrown with the king's ear fully struck. Thanks AMRcoins.

I prefer a vintage Cider , something with a bit of bite . Currently in Northumberland for a week , so I will need to stock up before I head up the road . The minimum pricing laws in Scotland has made the better ciders a lot more expensive .

Quite pleased with this one as an upgrade. I am now happy that I have all the 20th century pennies that are achievable in an acceptable grade for me. (Which means I can focus more on all the other upgrades I need to achieve!)

I'm not sure I agree with you about the kids losing interest in history I would say it is in the ascendancy kids have been inspired by programmes like Horrible Histories it's just th interest is different. They have (thankfully) moved away from the tedium of learning long disconnected lists of facts. Instead they enjoy more social history and in many ways have a better understanding of history at the common level than many older people. Hence I think we might have a job on our hands if we approach collecting just as collecting long lists of coins. I think we should begin to write coins into the fabric of this somewhat dumbed down version of history (not my opinion) in that way we can engage them at a level of the people that held the most money and exchanged it... The common npeople..... Instead of being a very snobbish approach we can have a lot of fun being imaginative and creative. One good way is to ask primary school teachers if, when they study a historic period, if they would be interested in you visiting with a load of coins the kids can handle and imagine with. It is our duty as I have said to create the future collectors by stimulating their interest. The curriculum periods are, fire of London, tudors, victorian social history punishment and social injustice, roman Britain, Greeks, aztecs, Egyptians, civil war, African west Africa cultures. Then of course there are the high schools. Think outside the money box and show them the con nections coins can give them.
