Yep. I voted to leave the European Union, but apparently that wasn't on the ballot paper.

So anyway I did decide to order a new cabinet from Rob Davis. I ordered a single door cherry wood version with small trays. Rob actually delivered it in person today. I have to say I'm really pleased with it, and it immediately solves an increasing space problem. Somewhat irritatingly, I've misplaced a coin I bought recently - the 1913 F174. Christ knows where that's got to. Anyway, here are pictures:-

Just arrogance. The PCGS grading video also shows coins being handled without gloves etc. If you want your coin graded, then it is either PCGS or NGC and you don't have much of a third choice.

Cigarette machines took a florin for a packet of ten. Always felt good using an Australian florin to buy a packet of cigarettes. Trouble was Australian florins were sterling up to 1946 and 50% silver until decimalisation in 1966 so we were fooling our selves.I gave up smoking in 1973 when I started uni. A packet of Camel or Chesterfield cost 85 centts at the time.

That's how I got started with coins. A friends father was a gas man and he found a Victorian copper Farthing in good very fine condition in a meter whilst emptying it. Can't remember the date though but a nice present in 1973 to a four year old.

There are an awful lot of fakes originating just across the bridge..... £2 coins, fake kews, dateless 20p's .. way too much modern fakery, - much of it on gumtree and shpock, and then all the associated "older" copies as well. The trouble is it seems to be across about 5 or 6 sellers.
