Hello, it's Chris here. For some reason I couldn't do the usual 'Mod' things with my regular account so have established this one. I'm locking this topic for the time being before it gets too tit for tat.. I know you're both good well-respected people that have been here a while. Let's take a deep breath (and make sure there are no coins in the vicinity when you breath out ).

I won't be bidding on that 1919KN either. It is not quite nice enough on the reverse, like has been said. But i do have a list of four Vicky pennies and a shilling that i will bid on.

No Mike i probably havent explained very wel. If anyone looks at a hundred pictures of 1944 pennies only a few will look like they have no mint toning.Should you buy the few one may be ok ,one maybe cleaned and one just worn. So maybe only one has been cleaned out of the hundred . Petrol was just an example it could be a brilo pad or anything else that has took the surface dye off. Anyway as i said glad you got them and you did really well to find them ,sometimes we can only find out by having the coin in hand.

look at this, never heard so much crap lol mother natures finest Seller Notes: “This coin shows you what can happen when Mother Nature does it's work and reinforces the slogan of "all that glitters is NOT gold"! The toning quality is VERY high end. This is a super nice piece. It is totally fresh to the market having been graded earlier this year and purchased by us a few weeks ago! The coin clearly was a stunning canvas for Mother Nature to do some incredible work.”

these coins not issued will be worthless now the mint are pumping out commemoratives that they say will not go into circulation, gone the same as stamp collecting

Very interesting, Paddy. Thanks. I like this bit:- Tell that to the 1p coin dated 1990 and sitting with many of it's contemporaries, BU or near so in numerous jars across the country.
