Only where Jerry hasn't finished the underpinning.

I liked this boat on Mull, particularly because it was at the same set of colours as its surroundings....

Hi Jelida, Nice place. We have nothing like it in Australia. I think the oldest European structure in Australia is probability Capt. Cooks' cottage in Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne which was brought to Australia in the 1930s. ozjohn

I find it almost impossible to believe he is honest. Just too many fake coins on his site at ridiculous prices. His 1866 King Edward VII Hong Kong One Dollar Silver Coin is particularly amusing. Asking price of £475.

Indeed, although again, as Richard pointed out about the Michael Cole collection, this one was hotch potch as well. No sign of the Andrew Wayne collection, often referred to, comparably, in their offers.

The Roland Harris collection was amazing to see. So many top notch rare pennies and lots more.

If I were fortunate enough to end up with this place, it would have a recording studio in in by the end of the month!!!!

I know what you mean Jerry , with Victorian Pennies there really are thousands of different minor variations and we couldn't possibly classify all of them as varieties , but like you if a cheep unusual example comes my way, i do go for it, oh and i Promise not to try and sell you one for big money

Yep, that's a beauty and a stunning bargain, Blake. The obverse is near EF. Here's my VF specimen:-

Just had a look at the Michael Cole collection and the lots seemed to be in a random order until I noticed they were in descending hammer price - not easy to find anything particular. Surely date within denomination would be more logical ?

I bid on 30, and I got 6 of the cheap ones - the others Mike listed above were rather an indication that Pennies aren't dead yet....;) One day a nice F76 will fall out of a tin, like my nice F69 did.... Hopefully. Sorry about the gap - a pig flew in front of the lamp.

There are worse examples...my personal favorite is this monstrous penny token from early 19th century Canada. Particularly fond of the random chisel marks in the field of the die to try and get some semblance of lettering going.
