    I imagine most shopkeepers would have said something like you said above, or, "aren't these collector's pieces?", and not accepted them on the ground that they wouldn't have been able to give them back as change to other customers.

    The rims on the rare obverses A and B are much wider, much like the reverse on the coin you posted above.

    ‘Fraid so, looks like an ordinary F6. But still a nice example. I think you were misunderstood, you were thought to be asking if it was an 1860 BB ie beaded border, rather than the Gouby reference. Jerry
