I remember collecting those cards in PG Tips boxes when I was a kid. The two most memorable series were flags of the world and unsolved mysteries of the world. It is a shame that they have stopped these more than 20 years ago.

Should be "Sacred" of course. But then, who wouldn't be scared if you are having a heart operation?

Our Commanding Officer when I was in Bomb Disposal was Colonel Bates, but we referred to him as "Master".

I don't think this will be an issue once contactless payment becomes the norm for all small amounts. The retailers will then simply factor the transaction fees into the retail prices. (Hopefully, fees will also be lower if there are more contactless transactions assuming the banks don't get too greedy) For example, a shop selling suits expect nearly everyone to pay with card, and so the retail prices have already factored in the card fees.

That's a shame but I will continue with Contact-less as it's far and away most convenient.

I remember those Variety packs! Can't remember if it was 6 or 8 little boxes, but I remember we used to fight to avoid the cornflakes of which there were always 2 boxes!

Nope. They are far less popular than sovereigns, and the rise in gold price has effectively killed off all gold denominations as an area to specialise in. People mostly buy gold as a play on the spot price. As for the original question, it is possible that a no BP coin could be due to die fill, if there is no official evidence to the contrary.

@Nonmortuus Couple that I have below - a bit of reflection and opening multiple collecting fronts doesn't work for me 😆 but they are just nice things in themselves so never parted. Sourcing them is trickier than it probably should be too I think, I assume in the past a lot of them showed up on eBay UK, so it got to routing through ma-shops and that wasn't the best place in the world to be either.

Bo Jo quite understandably would want everyone to handle the 50p commemorating his handiwork. 10 million sounds about right.
