  1. That's normal. The E/N is quite obvious in hand. If it did exist for 1843, one could reasonably assume it likely to be the same obverse die carried over to the following year. E/N attached.

  2. Can you at least crop your images? I'm looking at 5% coin and 95% carpet and I can't make out any detail.

  4. Rudolf Schmidt, the Senator for Arizona, was entertaining the Russian ambadassador over Christmas. After dinner Schmidt looked out of the window and saw sleet was falling. "Hey" he said to his guest, "It's snowing". The ambassador laughed out loud. "Is not snow, tovarich - is just rain!". It didn't often snow in Arizona so Schmidt stuck to his guns. "No, that's not rain - it's snow". The ambassador kept insisting it was only rain, and Schmidt got quite heated. At that point, Schmidt's wife tapped on his shoulder and whispered to him "Rudolf, the Red knows rain, dear".

  5. you might be right although I don't recall it being that secure, I'm sure I popped to the shops when Paul young was on (support) and also a well known local ex dJ who doesn't deserve a mention jogged right through the crowd doing a "charity" mission or something Other than that a brilliant concert but if I went now with just my wife it would cost more than our first car!

  6. Nay from me too. They were the soundtrack to my student years and I still have all the vinyl from Trespass to ‘Invisible Touch’; I saw them live with Ray Wilson on the ‘Calling All Stations’ tour in 1997 and they were great, in fact that was probably the best album since ‘Then There Were Three’. But the Gabriel years were undoubtedly the best, and before they turned into a pop band with Duke, Abacab etc. This sounds like a money making exercise, do they really have anything new to offer? I would rather stick with my memories. Jerry

  7. Good images of famous characters require a lot of time and skill. Images of a car or a bow tie and tuxedo require much less effort. I am not impressed with most of the modern RM designs. The Brexit 50p was really bad.
