    Mintmarks apart from when they were featured on captured bullion were made redundant 500 years ago when the date was added to coins - what a brill idea that was - wish I had copyrighted it - I would be worth a fortune now , I also would be dead i surpose, LOL

    1880, right hand side with half of the sea and exergual line missing- grease?

    Personally I’d just cover them with a generic description page, clearly they are not a true die variety and could presumably occur with any date, especially if a grease-clogged die is the cause as suggested. Jerry
