I think some of the funniest things happen in real life... Our friends have two young sons and one year they bought the oldest one an ant farm ( a glass container where you can view how the ants burrow through sand ) That Christmas they took their younger son to see Santa who asked him what he would like for Christmas. Their boy in all innocence and with some enthusiasm replied " Could I please have a "buggery" like my brother got..... " 😮 I think they had a bit of explaining to do!

In which case the edge should be dark - although if the coin has been in a collection and frequently handled over the years, the edge will be dark rather than lustrous anyway. An added complication.

The one mentioned was a 1944 ,45 or 46 i cant remember which that Dave craddock had for sale ,i didnt want it and he sold it another dealer. It was easier to tell even from a scanned picture as should of been fully mint toned rather than oneside MT oneside BU and was therefore not natural toning or cleaning. Sometimes i believe the blanks / coins may stick together for mint toning ,leaving them partially or fully MT to only oneside. I did have a 1932 that i bought off Dave craddock that was mint toned but passed it on to a forum member. That i believe was a MT blank / coin in error that was mixed in with normal ones or possibly part of a trial for 1934 . Although some years are often hard to tell from a photograph as may of just naturally toned ,such as some pennies we see described as proof like.

There's nothing wrong with it. Die clashes happened all the time.

It's not a cud as far as I can see because there's no extra metal. The shape of the curl coming out of her forehead matches the profile of the gap between the bottom left stalk end and the lowest leaves on the left side. The stalk end is visible under the first A of GRATIA and the left hand branch detail can be seen to a point under her chin. Absolutely nothing to do with her hair.

It's just a cud, not actually part of her hair at all.

I heard the same joke about the Beckhams and a taxi driver when they've just returned from New York. David is going on about a great restaurant in NY where loads of celebs go. The driver asks its name. David's brow furrows. "Think of mainline London railway stations." "Euston?" "Nah, another.." "Paddington?" "Nah, that wasn't it." "Victoria?" "Yeah! That's it! Victoria, what was the name of that restaurant we liked in New York?"

I remember years ago I had a friend who ran a sports shop near bury they were doing well and took on a new member of staff who had just finished school and did not know sport to much but at least she was willing . Anyway she was in here second week and a guy came upstairs and as she was the only member of staff available he came and asked her" have you got any cricket boxes?" This really confused the poor girl and she suddenly blurted out "Cricket box , do you keep your balls in it ?" Apparently the guy just went red and walked out

The slabbed world is losing all sense of perspective here. It's bonkers. They would have been better off leaving the coin out and just include the label. $825 + premium and counting. https://coins.ha.com/itm/great-britain/world-coins/great-britain-commonwealth-1-2-penny-nd-1649-1660-ms65-ngc-/a/3089-32681.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Or something you would struggle to get more than £200-250 for.............
