    Final piece of the jigsaw in my pre 1860 Victorian copper penny collection - an 1860/59. Quite decent specimen. Only ones to look out for now in this series, are the very expensive proofs. Unfortunately, certain other coins coming up, which I would have been very seriously interested in, now have to be put on the back burner until a further opportunity arises. I just had to have this.

    Worth buying at that price!

    They were made by Kempson, a documented producer of tokens, and not by some murky individual. The allegation they were intended to deceive is questionable given the comical nature of the portrait. They are quite common in decent grade too - must be if I have one.

    But three of your 4 examples were house, car, and pension. Sorry, but those really are necessary (though car could be managed without IF you live in a city AND you don't have a family).

    Another of those high quality fakes of 1864 florin DN 64 has appeared in the next DNW auction lot 398. Usual digs in the fields and cud on the n of tenth.
