    True. No telling on motivation factors, but the coin just [possibly] irrationally irritates me. I would say though that 4k quid is no small change...

    It's a very nice coin especially for the price, but I'd rate the grade lower : VF for the obverse, but not quite VF for the reverse. Pp 72 and 113 of the 'book'. (However, grading is partly a subjective thing).

    Mine is the ex Frank Stephenson specimen, which I bought from PFK Auctions in August 2017 for £400 hammer. About VF, but nibbled round the edges, bashed in the centre of the reverse, and nowhere near as good as Blake's.
