  1. Please note that there are actually 2 cuds on the obverse, one much more obvious and catches the eye first.

  2. Thumbing through the books and looking through some coins I noticed some characteristics on different dates that share the same reverse specifically the 1911 penny and 1912/12H much like the obverse 6 penny that has different anomalies this reverse also has some features that just look to me different design . I marked on the pics the differences. I am still working on the obverse but it appears they also have different design aspects. Anyway here's the pics and be interested in your thoughts as always Oh yes there are some others like the Helmet on the 1912H doesn't have that back section at the bottom but that could just be a strike weakness? and the cross lines on the shield are much thicker

  4. An intriguing set of 3 identical 1967 obverse cud pennies. Interestingly/Coincidentally I missed out on 2 other matching examples on Ebay in the past.

  6. 1824 bare head halfcrown obverse die struck in Barton's Metal. With flaws out from the centre in several directions, this die was unlikely to have lasted much longer

  7. Continued watch has not been rewarded as NO 1984 specimen FM coins or other rarities. No other 2002 proof sets; as I had said there are a few of the 2002 Track and Field (junior) crowns floating about but they are relatively scarce as well.

  8. Lots of forgeries of 1/4 farthings are appearing on ebay and appear to be selling a good prices acording to compleated listings - they are obvious fakes and I suspect some dodgy deals are going on allong with shill bidding so any new collectors should stay well clear of these .

  10. For 1964 . Groom has 2 reverses , a reverse F with a calm sea , similar to the 1963 , and a rev G which has a choppy sea .Also noted are 2 parralel lines in the exergue to the left of the date , short helmet plumes and missing waves .

  11. I believe that was from the era of "mint sport"; as I had [I believe] previously posted I also have a double reverse proof 1970 penny. The OP coin was slabbed as AU58 Brown by NGC. There may be a dash over ONE and will have to look at the original coin. These are more obviously so, whereas I am not certain of the off metal strikes in CuNi (I have one of each date of those 1964-67).
