Posted on twitter by someone calling themselves Darth Putin, with the caption met to discuss attack on Crimean bridge.

T OVER T IN VICTORIA 1860 BEADED There are two T over T errors in the beaded obverses both show complete misplacement of the letter the T in Victoria seems to be more common than the T over T in BRITT ,. However that may well be more down to the clarity of the error . The T over T on the first and the second T in BRITT is harder to spot. these three examples illustrate the error nicely .

I'd also give a shout out for KB Coins. He's a bit pricey, but has an excellent high quality stock.

Having looked at the picture of this one numerous times a few days ago i have now found to the best of my knowledge that the Reverse die is unrecorded ,other than being used for the VIP set. I was told months ago that the coins for the 1953 VIP set and not just the penny were struck from different dies and this clear picture of a farthing is one. Its not REV A or B. F to GAP I to TOOTH ,possibly longer teeth also though not 100% sure on that one.

Half pennies sometimes seem to be the poor relative of the Bronze world many of the errors I have started to list on the half penny variety thread. Some have been previously identified but I think there are others that are still to be found. I have started with my 1860's I admit to having at least two for my own desire to verify it as an error variety. But I am always happy to sell some for the charity.

Thanks for all the responses so far. I've not had much of a chance to look through all of them yet but I must say the back catalogue on Noonans is spectacular. I was hoping I'd be able to update the list in my first post but it seems I'm unable to do that.

Yes, definitely add Noonans. Davissons in the US do a regular list and auctions. There are different specialisms amongst auctioneers, some you may find better for what you want to collect than others. A quick search of coinarchives.com, numisbids.com and mcsearch.com (acsearch for ancients/mediaeval) might help there. Dealers similarly. Mike Vosper for ancients, Lloyd Bennet has a good selection including more modern pieces, AMR coins for good higher end. If you look at their sold archive you'll see if what you want features regularly enough. Many dealers will accept a 'wants' list, which might be worth considering?

Does anyone else think it is a shame that Charles III is used in the inscription instead of Carolus III? Now the inscription is a mixture of English and Latin. Elizabeth doesn't translate to Latin and so there wasn't a choice with the late queen.

In response to the comment by PWA 1967, Forum members may be interested to know that I was the fortunate buyer of the 1862 VIGTORIA penny on eBay (images attached). Because of problems encountered while posting to this website, I’ve asked Bernie to kindly post this message for me. Best Regards, InforaPenny
