I've added a little more to the Victoria bronze obverse page on this. https://pennyvarieties.wordpress.com/victoria-bronze-part-2-1861/

We must have had a good soak last night as there was plenty of water in the pot saucers this morning. Having said that, today's 'thunder weather warning' never materialised.

I am not sure it seems to be on all of them something has been done at least with 3 errors I think perhaps my thought something put on backwards or rotated . It still has me confused after 5 years 😅

Yes. I've just watched the BBC News weather forecast which confirmed that. Should be arriving here in the South Midlands by about 5am. Round here we had two or three pulses of heavy to torrential rain, each lasting 2 or three hours. The last of which was indeed during the night, between about 11pm and 2am. More moderate in intensity this time.

Indeed - though there are several scarce varieties, e.g. initials on truncation, and overstamped letters in VICTORIA, which mine isn't.

Thank you for your kind comments but the halfpenny site is very much an afterthought, something to do in Lockdown. Pennies are my main (only) interest.
