    As Rob suggests these are difficult to find having been struck for three months only. I have two, but they were bought several years apart and it's some time since I last saw one for sale anywhere. Note mine were struck from different reverse dies.

    Thanks, Peck, appreciate you commenting…not my natural playground at all, and all the more difficult to judge from a poor image. I’m looking forward to taking an in-hand photo!

    It also just "looks" wrong, on an intuitive level.

    I could imagine it selling for £50 to 100 if it’s a REALLY good fake, but if it’s an obvious one to the naked eye then the value would be minimal. The value is in the quality of the workmanship. Jerry

    Yes, I agree but that 1849 fake just sold for £232 !!!
