Probably not, unless Colins listing says it is. -

Thanks, changes made. (not in the pfd, in the master Adobe Pagemaker file) -
Edit ability times
Chris Perkins replied to Chris Perkins's topic in Forum technical help and support
Because people (like you in the past actually!) go back to posts days later and change things that they said, that were perhaps a little out of line, and it can make the subsequent posts look stupid. Tom then starts moaning about Dick and Harry changing their posts at later dates etc etc. So I implemented the limit to make people think twice about saying out of line things (knowing they cannot be amended in the future). I do however see the need for users to want to edit things, or include new information in their post, so you now get 2 hrs which should be quite enough for most purposes. -
Yes, it's very good, takes huge detailed pictures of coins. I'll post some pictures after I get this weekends Coin Fair out of the way. (and if I have any coins left at the end of it!)

Thanks Custard, I know what you mean abou the 'noted', I took a few of those away that were old and not relevant. The newer ones may stay, i haven't decided. The red 'Refer to Peck somehow' will indeed be replaced by 'Freeman', it's in red to remind me to change it, when I get a Freeman. The reference to page 6 as well will be changed, I wanted to change those at the end, when I was sure what pages things were on, or not on. -
She won't let you watch when she does he work out videos?

They won't have, because I'd already implented your nit picks, and included another page (21). -
I have been known to claim that the scan doesn't do it justice too, because with some coins no scanner can do justice. I finally got the digital camera chaps!

Yes, fine, I'll make sure it's 32nd. Oli brought up the Hanover thing as well, and I fail to see the problem with having it spelt the German way. It is instanly recognisable however it's spelt as a place in Germany, so why not spell it how the natives spell it and erase the 'Hanover' version from the English language! -
Ok, I'll let some of our new colonials in.

Ok, but it's a 1.9mb download and I'll make it available in a moment: http://www.rotographic.co.uk/1-21.PDF That works, but be aware that the printed version will of course be shades of grey, not colour. The prices are just basically from the 2004 version so pay no attention. The text in red is stuff that I know I have to change when it's completed. The fuzzy edges on the pictures are just on the PDF, when printed they are sharp and round. -

I sent him the first 20 pages, because he's a nit picking git and I could think of no one better to proof read it and make me aware of any mistakes -
No it can't be! His granddad was very picky....He'd turn in his grave if he heard you now ;)

Still gathering, there's no point doing any prices until I've finished laying out the book into pdf format (I'm on Page 25). -
I always want to throw up when people (nearly always Americans) put 'God Bless' at the end of listings, email, websites etc. So creepy.

The 1911 Non gold proof set that I had, and sold can be seen here: http://www.predecimal.com/forsale/1911set.htm The scans are not as great as those photos, but it was a nice one too. -

If you don't upload them with the 'File attachments' option then they don't use my bandwidth.

1981 half crown!
Chris Perkins replied to Master Jmd's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I doubt it Jmd. It's a mistake to put a coin under the wrong denomination, but I doubt he's put a coin from the wrong country in the right denomination. Why don't you buy it, and claim a refund when a Crown turns up! -
1981 half crown!
Chris Perkins replied to Master Jmd's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I spotted that the other day. I think he must have listed a 1981 Charles and Di Crown in the wrong section! That kind of thing wouldn't go on, on predecimal.com -
Fur or no fur?
Chris Perkins replied to Emperor Oli's topic in Nothing whatsoever to do with coins area!
I'm actually allergic to Turkey (the bird, not the country) and the last time I ate it I went into anaphilactic shock and had to have an ambulance. And that was on Christmas day! I also have a less accute problem with Chicken, which is a shame because I actully like the taste of Turkey and Chicken very much. -
Going to Euro...
Chris Perkins replied to Master Jmd's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Thanks Geoff, To be honest all this romantic Predecimal reflection by the 11-15 year old group gets right on my @$t$ too! It should all be about economics, and if the Euro is right for the UK economically and if it will help the UK be stronger in the the world scene, then stuff the Machin head coins and lets put jobs, industrial and financial etc gain for all at the top of our priority list. However, I do think the the UK can continue to be in the strong economic position its in without the Euro (so far it certainly hasn't suffered from not being in the Euro), and I like everyone, don't like the idea of financial control being lost to Brussels. But, if we need to join the Euro boat, even temporarily, and if it can be profitable to all of us, then I really think the traditionalists need to change their mindset and stop harking. If for some reason the £ goes belly up in a South American fashion, then I would absolutely welcome a Euro currency. I don't think that will happen, and I don't think the people would vote Euro in a referendum (even if the £ did an Argentina) because most of the public are fools, and they just follow each other like pathetic sheep. Anyway, for the moment, lets keep the £ but remain realistic, it certainly does us no harm, but for gods sake, keep an open mind you lot, and stop drawing the line purely on 'Pounds look and feel sound' grounds. Your narrow mindedness scares me slightly! By the way, on Oli's political compass link website, I came out about where bloody Ghandi was, so don't argue! -
I don't know much about Celtic coins, but I do know that they are 'Stater' not 'Slater' and the Quarter Stater was indeed a quarter of a Stater, the Full Stater also is thought to have existed. There is also Reference to a 'Unit' and a 'Quarter Unit'. The thing is, no one actually knows what the Celtic people called their coins because there is no written evidence. The names Stater and Unit were simply guessed at by academics based on what was used in other parts of Europe. So for all we know they called have been called 'Cows' and 'Quarter Cows'!

No, I won't because these experienced US forumees have kindly used there own bandwidth, and you'll find those pictures are all hosted on their own webspace, so they can post as many as they like without size restrictions!
