No, not really, I merely skimmed and recognised a place name I have a little collection of George III fakes. Nothing special though, you can see some of them on the website in the area where I wrote about them.

I think it's nice, I don't see a problem with toning if it's ended up that way because they didn't know the packaging would do that in 1911. It's original, it's part of the coin. And you're not using my bandwidth, oh thankyou so much!

I couldn't possibly say what a 'regular American' was, as I'm quite sure you have a diverse and varied culture, and it would be far to complicated to generalise. I'll tell you when I've been to America and seen for myself. I live in Germany, so I'm afraid I miss the Queens speech too.

John, It depends on how 'good' your good is. Coins are graded precisely, and the value depends on the exact amount of wear. If they are both very circulated they will be worth very little. That's very true, and the same for pennies of course if you take 'red' in the American sense, meaning lustre. Very sly Slyvester!

That's a strange question, I'll do what I have done before and compare coins to one of my other interests: How much are Volkswagen Golfs worth 1980 - 1990? The same as with coins, it depends on the date/variety and most importantly, the condition. A worn Golf may just be worth scrap value (same goes for coins), a mint condition VW Golf with low mileage may be worth considerably more...Same goes for coins. You'll have to be a lot more specific John.

Yes, Like 1934 Crowns....Only 932 ever made. In the last 3 years I've handled 6+ of them and can probably tell you where at least 20 of them are. The rarity of a particular coin is all very well, and of course it makes them harder to come by, but if you wave enough pound notes around and they'll come to you!

Master Jmd, I dare say if you had enough money and made enough people aware of your hard cash and need for a BU 1806 penny, you could probably find one every six months!

No probably not. Until 1952 they just recorded the number of coins of each denomination that were struck. They didn't even take the years into account (eg if a 1938 dated coin was struck in Jan 1939 it would be counted in the 1939 mintage number)

I doubt accurate records were kept Jmd. At that time the mint didn't actually record the number of coins minted with the actual '1940' date, so I doubt anyone knows the number of 1940 single exergue.

Well those are both pictures of my albums you've stolen () from this website, so yes, you'll find those ones are very good. Albums are the most affordable way of storing coins, and those examples will certainly look after them fine. The smaller one cannot be added to, and the ability to add pages is usually preferred. I'd also be pleased to give a 10% discount as you are a forum member.

That isn't really the greatest picture in the world is it! I can't tell what it is. The fee depends on the exact number of coins and how difficult they are.

Bowl shaped coins do exist, but they are not normally 2 inches! If it was smaller, I'd say it could well be a real coin, Most likely Byzantine. It only stands a chance of being of any value if the detail is clear and it can be identified. (2 inches seems a bit large though!) Are all the coins you have to be valued of similar appearance? If they are modern (within the last 300 years or so) I can probably help. Often I can give a rough idea over email.
