    Collectors Coins Great Brit. 2014

Stuart G - check. Thanks Bob. Garrett - yours is the order with the Hotmail address I assume? I'll email it to that address right now.

Did you order it on Amazon Peter? Spink is available, but the official listing doesn't have a picture yet. Greenlight are offering it (with a picture) too.

    Collectors Coins Great Brit. 2014

Thanks. It's because it's not naked paypal, it's dressed with a www.digitalgoodsstore.com landing page. Buyers go through them. Mainly useful for delivering the eBooks securely, but it also serves the purpose of quickly getting links done for the printed version. Shall I address it to George Coins?

    I'll read it through again.

    Pcgs Vs Cgs

I think you also seem to be getting the wrong Impression of why i exploded scottishmoney. I will explain, but before i do, i also noticed you've deleted my comment on this thread from last night. This Explosion was nothing to do what so ever with this thread and American TPGs, it was to do with FACT that the American poster has been Digging HIS CLAWS into me for the past 2 weeks which you can see from several threads such as "toned coins" thread and another. Now when you start deleting my comments and not looking at the cause then i think its getting a little one sided don't you? As is Aid in my deleted comment, i'll make my apologies to the forum for my outburst but not to the poster who Sees fit to continually goad me about my opinion (which is a perfectly good opinion) although according to him, my opinion does'nt really count as you can see from the beginning of this topic I deleted another of your posts yesterday evening too, azda! I've also tidied up some language. I know you get very passionate about coin related things, and I know that you're harmless and entitled to your opinion, but your language and the fact you were getting personal towards the American gentleman was not acceptable. You will tend to find in life that your opinion counts for less when you start being confrontational and using naughty words in posts littered with awful typos. Bloody behave. Ski, I know your post about your Indian uncle and French brother in law was tongue-in-cheek, casting you in a non-rascist man of the world kind of light. However, it had too many thinly disguised naughty words in it, so that too has been removed. Lets just forget about it all and be friends please.

    Coin Purchase On Hold

Had a very late 51 plate MGF a while ago. Head gasket went. And, with the wrong make tyres on them they are a nightmare in the handling department. Apart from that, perfectly good cars.
  7. I buy silver coins like that. Can send someone round if you're in the SE of England. Or possibly further.

    Medieval Belgian Seal Dish!

Who knows. Sold in the city of Kortrijk I suppose, as a decorative item just for fun. I'll try and find a Belgian forum for antiques and collectables. Probably one of the kinds of things that everyone in Belgium has in the loft!

    Medieval Belgian Seal Dish!

The feel of it is older than mid 20th century, but it's certainly post industrial revolution I'd say. The piece of string and rings could be a later addition.

That may be because you only get limited time (a few minutes) to edit posts. This was originally due to people posting things and then changing them when they realised they were spouting naughty things and were rightly getting flamed! What you say here, is permanent (after a few mins to check for typos).
  11. Avoid the often over-priced modern ones and buy the older ones at around bullion value. Sometimes high grade 1880s to 1930s can be found for around the bullion value.
  12. Unlikely. I think the newer ones just have a different style edge.

    Collectors' Bank Notes 2006

Printed (2008) version out of print. Download version can probably be arranged but I don't think it's offered anywhere. Would very much like to do a new edition, but it could be a way off.
  14. I know you people are all coin people, and so am I! As most of you will know, I had the daunting task of making a few books new and improved. I did the CCGB2005 and the "Roman Base Metal Coins - A Price Guide" myself, and I'm lucky enough to have found someone to re-new the established "Collectors' Coins Ireland". I also have a very nice man working on "Roman Silver Coins - A Price Guide" and 3 other people working on brand new books. The George III coin book was not top priority.... But, the banknote book was top priorty, and I have not been unable to get anyone to do it for me! I had someone interested, but they wanted to publish it themselves too, and we can't have that can we. Other banknote experts were too busy, and/or working on books of there own. So, I'm doing it myself, and I can say that it is quite a learning curve. I've purchased a couple of good banknote reference books and I'm in the process of creating "Collectors' Bank notes 2006" (that title will probably remain unchanged) right now. I'll still need help with the price gathering, perhaps I'll ask you lot to help out with that. For anyone that wants to see, this is a link to the first 20 pages: http://www.rotographic.co.uk/books/BankNotes2006.pdf There are a few gaps here and there, mainly concerning missing pictures and the contents page. The images are all low resolution and compressed in this sample, to make it an easy size to download. The printed version and final download versions will of course be sharper. What do you think? I'm actually starting to get in to banknotes a bit as I'm doing this! By the way, all the images so far are of notes that belong to me....I had to buy a whole collection so that I could make good enough scans of the notes. There will probably be a banknote section appearing on predecimal.com when the book is done, to sell the notes through (if I don't keep them!)

    Favour - testing.

I don't suppose one of you could do me a favour and test the functionality of the coins/stuff sales. Perhaps with paypal and also with a credit card just to make sure both work? You could use this as a test: http://www.predecimal.com/1965-scottish-shilling-p-775.html Very cheap, but of course I'll refund the money anyway! Let me know in here first, because I don't really need more than one test per payment method. Thanks.

I've made it so that it shows the exact amount of time that has passed since the last post. Hope it's ok like that.

If there's some kind of switch I can switch to turn it back on, I will. If not, then you probably have 3 'opes: No 'ope, Bob 'ope and Envelope.

Hmmm, copy the URL from the browser bar when you get this so-called 'cross scripting' problem. When I first come to the page it seems to point me at british-coins.com/forum instead of predecimal.com/forum but it soon seems to right itself. Does anyone else get a cross scripting error or ever see british-coins.com in the browser bar?

    NO WARNING POINTS?

As far as I know you should still have admin privileges. I'm very new to the new look too and have hardly looked deeper into it yet. It seems to be working, that's the main thing. And I believe the image posting works again?
  20. Chris Perkins

    Cross site scripting?

Doing it! Tried to fix it myself to no avail. I now have my new wonderful local (to where I used to be) webhost looking into it!
  21. Chris Perkins

    Cross site scripting?

I think it's probably the old predecimal.com/british-coins.com confusion again! I don't know why as the latter shouldn't exist anywhere except as a redirect to predecimal.com. I've put in a request for Invision (the forum software people) to upgrade everything to the latest version. I'll also mention the problem with the missing old images and cross-site scripting. Should be upgraded in about a week. Users may notice temporary changes in appearance. Actual down time should be minimal.

    Site problems

Ok, must just be me then. Good to hear.
  23. I buy a lot of pre 47 silver etc.
