  1. Upon checking my change I found a 1971 two pence with a large 4 on it. Does anybody have any ideas as to where it would have come from? Is it a bank mark?
  2. Thanks for the advice, i'm not that local, a good hour+ drive away but I might pop down just for a look about. If anything it will be nice to see a good collection of coins all in one place.
  3. I collect a bit of everything at the moment, but I particularly like 20th century pennies and 19/20th century farthings.
  4. I noticed the Harrogate Coin Fair is coming up next weekend. As somewhat of a novice, I was wandering your opinions as to the value in attending it? Will there be anything to satisfy a student on a budget or will it be all highly collectible/pricey coins?
  5. Speaking of sharp 5's I believe this may have one.
  6. That is great to know, thank you for the swift reply!
  7. Hi all, I've recently started collecting predecimal and acquired this 1825 farthing, and am wandering if this is an S over S minting error? Or could it be S over something else? (Also the fourth I appears lower than the other three but I believe that is quite common), any thoughts?
