you'll be amazed how some coins come out the soil, you will know if you detect, roman silver can come out covered in a thick layer making them look like a cruddy bronze, this Julia Domna denny took me hours of cleaning, shame it has a chunk missing, shame i didnt get a before pic either doh

can't know every thing about everything, English Hammered pennies is my thing, 1180 - 1272, Henry III's voided long cross pennies is my specialty though, -
top left is the famous Edward I groat, nearly all the ones found by detectorists have been turned into brooches
