  1. Why have you put this in the members only forum Master JMD? I would also grade that at VF
  2. I can afford that one but it would use up all my money! The 1839 one doesn't look bad though. Might buy one of them! You are!
  3. I love threehalfpences, I am very fond of my own as it is very rare, and find them fascinating generally because they were used in the colonies, and they are so small!

    Cased crowns

I don't know if they are unofficial, but I would say yes, cos most things like that would have the name of a bank on them, wouldn't they? Yes, it's worth looking on eBay for them. Theis the kind of stuff you're looking for?
  5. I was wondering who would bring that up... Still, Chris is ahead of them!
  6. You also come 4th on an MSN search: http://uk.search.msn.com/preview.aspx?&q=British+coins

  11. Yes, what's the matter with American grading, it may be American, but it is extremely accurate and probably worth using on your best or most valuble coins. I voted for milled other as I collect Victorian coins, and I am not bothered by the alloy or anything like that.
  12. No way, forgeries are very interesting! I have a fake spade guinea and am fascinated by it because Chris tells me it was probably used as a Victorian gaming token. I also have a fake shilling which I like as well, shown below:

    1914 maundy money

Normal threepences have a 3 in them, only the maundy ones have a brighter and more prooflike surface. This is a normal threepence: http://www.predecimal.com/forsale/threepence1902.jpg
