I never paid much attention to it as it was broke, but looking at it through a glass its quite different. its weight is 0.2 g

Hiya all found this a few years ago. Half crown of York 10.5 gm. It is said uncertain half crowns were made by inferior and sometimes by exceedingly unskilful, workmen I don't think this was, but who made it ? any ideas.

Charles l York half crown. Would have been a lovely coin if it wasn't so worn. Not sure of the grade.

Sorry. ? Metal detecting is an amazing way of collecting coins. Coins that I would never have been able to afford. The double crown was found about 2005 on plough land, I had a 50/50 agreement with the farmer so had the coin looked at by mike vosper coins via internet who gave me a valuation of 600 pounds.. so even though it was found it still cost me 300 that was a lot of money to find for a coin. But finding it was such an amazing buzz.

Thanks, only way of photography at the moment is my phone as the computer has died a death. Have a good camera but no way of getting the pictures to my phone ?... need to invest in a new computer, then I should be sorted ?
