  2. Put the two Victoria shillings on eBay, Rohan, and you'll get a few quid for them. I do mean a FEW quid, not a lot of quids. The rest should be scrapped I'm afraid.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Bloody hell, that sounds great. I fell in love with XH558 at last years Fairford, but it wasn't there this year so I went to Farnborough as well just to see it. I took the underwing tour and was hanging on every word! 11 years between the first Lancaster and the first Vulcan. That is some progress in 11 years, they look like they are from a different century. After the Vulcan waltzing gracefully through the sky the Typhoon seemed like a 16 year old going too fast round a roundabout on an RD50! The Canberra hits the spot for me too. Early jets seem to do it. Meteor, Vampire, marvellous.

So was I, Stu!Ah, there it is! I searched everywhere, remembering you said this! was a great day, Declan, SO hot...no shelter...thank god for the cider van! I was in a field on the North side of the runway with about 200 other cars. £15 to the farmer to park up, he supplied a burger van and a few portaloos, and the best seats in the house from the comfort of your own car roof. So close you could feel the heat of the afterburners on your face!

    Flip Labelling

I always wonder about putting things like denomination, date and monarch on when the Mint have done a pretty good job of labelling the coin with those already. I tend to just put the things that aren't immediately obvious on as labels, like "2+B".

  18. Hello Andriulis Most 1911 denominations have hollow and flat neck varieties, and the florin is no exception. Hollow neck: I of GEORGIVS to the right of a beadD of F.D. to the left of a beadI of IND to the right of a bead Flat neck:I of GEORGIVS between beadsD of F.D. between beadsI of IND at a bead The hollow neck is quite a bit scarcer.

    1920S Halfcrowns

You find that with a lot of the key dates, John. Much more people fished 1925s out of circulation than did 1924s, because of the awareness of key dates on the run up to decimalisation, so although there may be plenty of 1925s listed on eBay, they'll all be duffers!
