    I have a single exergue 1940 penny and I think that your example is a single exergue because the double exergue is very distinctive.

    Thanks, I plan to fill some dates with my b'day money. If I am seriously lucky, I will get a 1902LT half penny in UNC maybe BU, who knows.

    Its my birthday tomorrow and I have asked for money to spend at the London coin fair rather that anything material just yet. I prefer money because I can spend it on what I want (eg: coins, coins, and more coins)!

    I have a copy of Spink aswell, it dosent really help me because I paid £18 for a load of information that I dont need, that is why I will not be getting the 2005 edition.

    I am really not sure, however, i guess that they minted less coins with less dies of that particular variety than the other varieties.

    In my Collectors coins 2002, it says that there have been 2 conformations of the coin with an 'uncertain' value of up to £1500.
