What type of coins do you collect (British)...
Half Penny Jon replied to Master Jmd's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
It is virtually to get all of the varieties in top condition even for the victorian bronze series, there are just so many of them. -
Yes, but how would anyone be able to tell if it is an overdate from the picture.

Very nice selection there. Are you into bronze pennies? -
Very true. I think pictures, colour, font etc...... are irrelevant at this stage.

He started collecting over 30 years ago. It may be hard to get better examples than him in some cases but is is by no means impossible. I have suceeded so far with my coins below: 1. 1901 BU 2. 1903 BU 3. 1909 BU 4. 1931 BU 5. 1932 BU -
I guess so. Black and White examples are fine in terms of capturing the coin in its true glory.

I don't mind that. When I buy halfpennys that I need, I compare them to Dr. Nicholson's examples because I want to get better examples than him. -
That is definately not an overdate from what I can see. Chris would be able to tell better than me.

I like the way you spelt "Chris", very amusing! -
I am not familiar with the layout of the inside. In my opinion, you should include colour photos of coins rather than just black and white like all the other books (I know this irrelevant at this stage).

It does look like it's BU almost full lustre (no thanks to the awful picture) I'm not sure about those wierd toning patches. -
I think the cover is too boring. It should show some really high grade or rare coins to attract people.

The website looks good already Chris! Should we start researching next year in preparation for 2006?

It doesn't matter really because people can come on here and post questions rather than bother Chris 24-7. (400th post )
