If you look at the Dr. Nicholson collection of half pennies, some of the prices have gone through the roof, for example, the 1925 ME half penny stands at a staggering £140! This just shows that a coin is only worth what a collector is prepared to pay for it, not what Spink says it's worth. -
Hi everyone, I just want to know your views on whether coin values will go up for 2005 and whether the market will continue the boom that it is currently experiancing. My view is that coin values will increase by about 10-15% in UNC and less in other grades.

With that sort of money, you could buy an 1849 farthing in UNC. The best place to look is Colin Cooke's special farthing section. -
