  1. Hi everyone, Im just curious how long you have all been collecting coins, and what made you become a coin collector. For me it was just the sheer number of varieties and the beauty of coins. I've been collecting coins since I was 7, i am now nearly 15!

  3. I lived in Pilgrims Hatch from when I was born until I was 11 years old when I moved to Kelvedon Hatch. I lived in Crow Green Road. Where abouts did you live in Pilgrims Hatch?

P.S: I totally agree that comprehensive schools are rough places these days, however, I do go to one and the quality of teaching is exceptional! Also, most students achieve and exceed their potential for example, I got 3 A*'s for my science exam. It just shows that not everyone who go to comprehensives are bad, however, I can see your point Emperor Oli!

  9. In my opinion, Coin News is OK, but I think it needs just a little bit more collectors views.
  10. Once I had the opportunity to but an 1937 proof set (crown to maundy penny) for £120, but I didn't have enough money! Lol.

    In my opinion, its the most attractive head in the victorian series.
  13. I try to buy and sell coins to raise money to buy coins for my collection. I buy the coins I want to sell from this little antiques shop. The dealer always grades his coins at least a grade lower. Once, I managed to get an EF 1876 half crown for £63!

    Thats one of the reasons why I collect those pennies, because I think that his designs are way ahead of his time.

    I think that the quality of the coins that royal mint has been producing recently, especially patterns is revolting!

    Thats very tempting, I will have a think about that one! When you get new coins, do you sometimes keep some of them for your own collection?
