  1. Coins of that year are generally common. I am not surprised to hear that the 1961 halfpenny is giving you grief...........they are not as easy to get as is generally thought. Try contacting the leader of this forum (Chris Perkins) cp@predecimal.com. He may have one.

George IV 1822 Farthing AUNC + Lustre

I know it was, i was surprised that JMD thought that there was something wrong with the era.

    UNC Coins

Uncirculated coins have a lot of history.......they have probably been traded and put in collections....maybe even famous ones! I collect BU's because the lustre and the detail of the coin just appeals so much to me......i don't find 'Fine' coins that attractive regardless of whether it is rare or not.

    What's wrong with the era!!!!!!

    Edward VIII 3d

The threepence did go into circulation by accident.......it is very possible.

    Happy Birthday William :)

Happy B'day Will, did you get any coins?

George IV 1822 Farthing AUNC + Lustre

I don't think the bare head and the bull head are similar, it's only my opinion though

    Whats your oldest coin book?

I like those observes! Especially the bare head.

There's an edge knock otherwise it'd perfect.

    Whats your oldest coin book?

A secret contact who specialises in halfpennies! No, it's Saltford coins, but they do specialise in halfpennies. He told me that it the best one he has seen.

    Whats your oldest coin book?

Books are not at the top of my priority list at the moment. Getting together the funds for my reserved 1902LT is! It shouldn't take me more than a month hopefully. If I did get a numismatic book then I would just get a Peck.

    Whats your oldest coin book?

Mines only 2002 too! That's when I really started to get serious about collecting.
  14. Half Penny Jon

    I want one of these

That has to be one of, if not the best example avaliable to commerce. The catalogue value should not apply in this case. I reckon it will make around £4500. Before this the best one I saw was UNC Lustre.

    Whats your oldest coin book?

I have not got an old book yet. I hope to get a Peck next year.

    George III 1826 shilling

It looks about VF, it's an attractive coin.

    Grubby find

Gently clean it with soapy water, that should reveal some of the design if it isn't too corroded.
  18. Hi everyone, Could anyone tell me why this cabinet being sold on Ebay is going for over £250? It's just a Mascle standard! HPJ. Edit: Link: My Webpage
  19. Another coincedence! Are you two related?!
  20. Half Penny Jon

    Why so much?

The only pedigrey cabinet I would be interested in would be Pecks, or Freemans (I doubt I would be able to get them)!
  21. Half Penny Jon

    Why so much?

    Where's the pedigery?

    Coin Grading

1936 is really as modern as I would go as far as bronze goes.

    Why so much?
