The pictures in CCGB2005
Master Jmd replied to Chris Perkins's topic in Rotographic Publications Forum
well, i dont really need to consider variety with it, i have no 1806 pennies yet ... ooh, i would love the coin that is featured in a coin book ...it could make people envious over my collection ... will you be using the 1860 proof pennies on colins site chris? -

ooh, you have to use the 1806 no incuse curls penny of his (or with incuse, cant remember) ...and thanks to colin -
This has been bought up before; why isnt there a forum page where members can put details about themselves for others to see (name, age, occupation etc...)...i think that this may be a good turn for the site so as people have their own little biography for others to see...at the moment, you only know me as Master Jmd, you in theory do not have a clue who i am...i think that this would help the site so other members know who they are 'talking' to, and get a general view of our personalities...so, could we get a page like this?

a question about proofs...
Master Jmd replied to Master Jmd's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
The 1902 coronation proof set contained no bronze coinage, only gold, silver and maundy money. There is no bronze either in the sets of 1911 and 1927, although George V pennies exist in proofs from 1926-36 with the exception of 1933. There are reputedly proofs in existence for all the George VI pennies; the commonest are from the 1950 and 1951 sets. 1953 certainly. Not sure precisely which ones exist in proofs 1961-67, but don't forget the 1970 from the sets. ok, thanks geoff... -
a question about proofs...
Master Jmd posted a topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
were there proofs issued for the 1902 - 1936 and 1953, 1961 - 1967 pennies issued by the mint?...i have seen examples of George VI proof pennies, and i know that 'proofs exist for most years' of victorias bronzes... -
I was looking at my 'doubles' of George VI pennies, and i noticed that in one of them, the first line of the 'N' in 'PENNY' pointed to a tooth, whilst on another 1937 penny the first line of 'N' in 'PENNY' pointed in between two teeth...amazingly; i googled and found that there are theese 2 types...but unfortunately, the website did not tell me if one of them was rare or not...can anyone shed morelight on this subject?

What do you think of Page 4?
Master Jmd replied to Chris Perkins's topic in Rotographic Publications Forum
I think you are aiming a bit too high atm...but it is your book, so i suppose you can do it if you want...one problem would be getting people to find the download, you would have to advitise a specific site (eg: rotographic) and then try to attract people to it, which cou;d be a hard task...and remember, a downloadable version could be coppied to a CD, Flopyisc, paper, anything compatible too it...you need to think about the pros and cons about it... but what?...on adobe you can save it to disk and then print it...and people could still use the print screen button as a way of printing/copying it... -
