Is this Half Crown real or not?
Master Jmd replied to a topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
it does look a bit too good to be true, but looking at the obverse the head has some slight toning...i would say it is real, anid i would not see why someone would fake a coin that is not worth too much... colin cooke has a 1885 half crown (here), and that is in about the same condition as the one on ebay... -

The London coin Fair
Master Jmd replied to Half Penny Jon's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
yes, this is why i said; ... hey, hey...that was what my mum and dad said to me, i would stand up to the terrorists, but i am not walking 21 miles to a coin fair and 21 miles back, there are no bus routes to london from where i live, and the nearest train station is over 3 miles away... -
i have never bought off of him either, but i wouldn't say that the coins were over prised, all the pennies seem to be at or just under the catalauge price...you cant count it with some coins; he has a BU full lustre 1806 penny for sale for £225, £50 over the unc. coin value, but this is because of its rarity, it doesn't say extremely rare, but a BU full lustre penny that is over 175 years old is extremely rare to come by...

1925 half penny
Master Jmd replied to Half Penny Jon's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
maybe not on a major scale, but i could 'knock off' between £2 - £10 of its valued price... -
i know this isnt to do with the book layout, but; as we are getting a free copy of the book after it is published, are we getting a '1st edition' copy that is signed by you?
-
(sorry, i couldent edit): for your database, are coin sets included? (can i say that i bought a FDC 1970 set?)

Read this first if new here.
Master Jmd replied to Chris Perkins's topic in Rotographic Publications Forum
to save pages, why not have 1/2 p's and 1p's on 1 page...2p's and 5p's on another ect...then you would not waste about 20 pages on a few coins (like spink...)
