  1. I spent the last 12 years of my time in the Royal Navy as an NBCD (I) Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Damage Control Instructor. We were shown film footage of the Kurdish villages where Saddam had ordered the use of Sarin nerve gas. I wont go into to much detail but if you had seen these images of men women and children after the attacks, you may have more of an open mind on the case for war against this regime. Sarin is a particularly nasty one, ALL bodily fluids are emitted from you out of EVERY orifice in the body in a matter of minutes. Nobody in their right mind wants to go to war, but in this case I think we were totally justified. With all due respect Smudge.Sarin gas and other chemical weapons were sold to Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war back in the '80's when Iran was perceived as the greater threat to the U.S and it's allies. Were you also shown the damage done to Iraqi civilians due to 'daisycutter bombs' and depleted uranium-used exclusively by coalition forces? Saddam was a nasty ba@/"£& yes but he was an ally when it suited the west and the war against Iraq was not totally justified,in fact it was illegal as it (a pre-emptive strike) went against the UN charter.
  2. Seems they are all related (no surprise there then!) http://landing.msn.ancestry.com/famoustree...ourceCode=13673

    Humidity

Having been visiting this site for quite a while now,I'm almost ready to buy my first coin and become a legitimate member of this forum. However one thing worries me.I live in Japan and in Summer the humidity is overwhelming (I'm talking bicycles rusting almost overnight!).What if anything would this do to a coin collection and are there any precautions I would have to take? Thanks.
  5. Hello everyone.I wonder if you could answer a question I have about toning on coins.I recently bought 2 proof sets (the last £.s.d 1970 and the 1st Decimal 1971) and on getting them home found some toning around the edges. Is this normal for proof coins and will it reduce any future value? I'm a beginner so please pardon my ignorance.
