1826 George IIII Trittainiar error twopence
Coin#addict posted a topic in Confirmed unlisted Varieties.
Not sure if this 1826 Twopence coin is rare or not with the error. I did at one time have an 1825 Trittaniar error coin.- 1 reply

Here's a guy selling multiple listings for fake kew gardens 50 pences. He has already sold a few at decent prices, granted he is not getting the full amount. I actually telephoned ebay yesterday who said they would pass it on to their fraud squad, yet nothing has been done. So obviously ebay condones the selling of fakes 😠 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-STUNNING-KEW-GARDENS-50p-COIN-BRILLIANT-UNCIRCULATED-MINT-CONDITION/293039146693?hash=item443a7e86c5:g:yPoAAOSwcT1coQXZ&redirect=mobile

Yes, they do look rather cheap and nasty, not something I would purchase either. Seems to be an upsurge in the sale of them. There must be a market for them but they look too new for my liking. 👍

Do these hammered coins look like they were minted yesterday? The seller has quite a few for sale. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HAMMERED-SILVER-MEDIEVAL-COIN/372630617715?redirect=mobile

1719 George I farthing. No raised dot on obverse.
Coin#addict posted a topic in Confirmed unlisted Varieties.
Hi. Is it unusual for a 1719 George I farthing not to have a raised dot between Georgivs and Rex? -
This old hammered silver looks a bit suspicious. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Old-silver-English-Coin/352611828140?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144&redirect=mobile

Here's someone sneaking in a dodgy crown in his job lot. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SILVER-COINS-CROWNS-INC-1887-HALF-CROWNS-SIXPENCE-THREEPENCE-FROM-1885-320g/273693997280?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160908105057&meid=0b9525cf24314826a7466ff8cfe6dcf4&pid=100675&rk=1&rkt=15&sd=192823414492&itm=273693997280&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci:83a10eaf-3427-11e9-ba17-74dbd180d470|parentrq:050dedc81690aadcfde53d14ffe39aeb|iid:1&redirect=mobile

You don't get many of these to the pound. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Silver-Coloured-1p-Coin/392225863057?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144&redirect=mobile

Possibly shill bidding. There's no need to have private listings.

Here's a Kew Gardens 50p with copy written on the obverse. Are people really this gullible? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kew-Gardens-Rare-Genuine-50p-Coin-circulated/332997737977?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144&redirect=mobile

I buy quite a lot from ebay at reasonable prices. But it never fails to totally amaze me the amount of money Lucido can get for his coins at aucton, even when there are better coins on buy it now.
