    I've printed out the list of purchasers and will use it as reference. perhaps other members should do the same!
  7. The groat was first introduced in the reign of EdwardI (1272-1307) copying the french 'gros'. It appeared sporadically after then, still being produced today in maundy money.

  9. As all coin collectors, I 'attract' various foreign coins from boot sales. junk shops and the like. This little copper intregued me as it has no country stated.     I disagree! With the wealth of reference material available, it is very difficult to produce a convincing forgery - hence the collectors of counterfeits!
