  1. Not a medieval coin I've ever seen before...
  2. Looks to me like an Indian issue, perhaps of the Portuguese colonial types. Plenty of similarities looking at a quick Google search.
  3. Try logging in on a different browser (or using incognito mode in Chrome, others have in private browsing too). This should allow you to see if it's a site issue or not (and hopefully allow you to reply!).
  4. Was immediately drawn to the image in a museum recently and noted the mismatch with the text 😄 Mind you, they had a few coin hoards on display though! Lewes Castle, for anyone interested.
  5. Looks like an Edward I or II farthing to me, of the later classes (e.g. 10).
  6. Read this in just a few days while travelling, would recommend as a light read: https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/462484/a-history-of-britain-in-ten-enemies-by-deary-terry/9781804994979
  7. Looks a little suspicious to me... https://ebay.us/m/N6Cgr8
  8. Just back from WA, the jacarandas are absolutely spectacular this time of year!
  9. These almost always appear at 12 O'clock on the obverse, before the monarch's name. 🙂 Without literature to hand, looks like a Treaty period groat without French titles. Dating to between 1361-9.
  10. Interesting one, as looks to have an error in the mint reading where the LON and DON have been swapped: DON LON IEN SIS instead of LON DON IEN SIS. Looks to be Edward I, class 3d.
  11. Paddy is correct - it's also an annulet issue. This is denoted by the small rings by the neck and between two of the trefoils in the centre of the reverse.
  12. It looks like one of the Spanish/Portuguese medieval billon types to me - see this as an example.
  13. If helpful, it's also not allowing externally-hosted images so will likely be something to do with firewall or CDN (perhaps GoCreations use Cloudflare, etc.).
  14. Oof, I've not been back for some years!
