  1. Don't worry, I'm the antithesis to and antidote for this... Has it been mentioned yet, that the ones that were going for the hundreds and thousands not so long ago were all hidden bidder identities? Bidder 1, bidder 2, bidder 4 etc...
  2. I have no idea - I couldn't say if it looked like a flower either, sorry

    Bronze Coins in Slabs

Do slabs really do anything to raise the potential price realised or do they just make it harder to photograph the coins inside of them?
  4. A Silver Ha'penny! Oh nice coin by the way..
  5. Worth 5-10 quid, but on ebay it's still 20-30.

    Traders weight

I am guessing it will be a4 drams of either George or William IV due to the 'IV' - Suffolk might be it's place of manufacture or where it was first tested.
  11. This looks to be a traders' weight, but other than that the only think I can make out is the word "SUFFOLK" - does anyone have basic information about this pieces? Lead? era? What exactly was it used for, how etc? the letters/symbols?

    Traders weight

Never mind, it looks military so may yet have an interesting tale to tell. Definitely looks like a trade weight to me, might be worth having a look on UKDFD, it is a database for detectorists, you may be able to find a match with some of the identified trade weights Thanks. I knew someone would finally come along and confirm to me what it is - hope I can identify it on that site.

    Coin weight

Thanks. I was getting smart-arses telling me that it can't be a Shilling because there were no shillings made during this reign. Completely irrelevant, and proves they don't know jack sh*t. The moral of the tale: don't listen to smartarses.
  17. Got this from auction with all the other interesting pieces I have been showing here. On the packet it says "Edward IV" and "Durham" Now someone is telling me this isn't Ed IV because he had no shillings. Okay so who is it then?
  18. How can we if we don't see a picture?
  19. It's an unofficial farthing!
  20. Does anyone have any information on this, BERLIN WOOLS, Haberdashery etc token..?
