Shame about the cleaning. The old girl has no edge knocks. -
Which customs problem? A guy on another forum had to pay customs to receive his coins back.Later I will try to find a link.

I have been actively picking out BU examples of 1/2p,1p and 2p.(I have dates missing) I also bought US Cents to 2005 a while back. That is a couple of areas I need to look at.

I thought there were custom problems and the next Heritage auction is months away. Slabbed prices are crazy.

Coins worth £1 max are selling for silly money. The buyers are pathetic or part of the set up. 1963 1d,1955 1/-,1948 florin.....about £2 from a good dealer.
-
It is a 50p to £1 coin. Slabbing is shocking
-
:D Can't believe that. Absolute madness.
-
It would'nt be in my collection Peter Nor mine! Though I'd certainly find room for Peter's irony Leave Mrs Peter out of it...she is good at irony, and a bit more

1908 HC - opinions as to grade welcomed
Peter replied to Paulus's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Buy a few coins from the premier dealers. You have a few on the forum. I have a few outer EU dealers -
What would it do to your collection? I certainly would want to see it every day.
-
It is rare but not desirable. If you could get £2700 for it now...happy days. All those mule 20p's are worth diddly....a 1983 2p does nothing for me.
-
It really isn't expensive.Considering what I spend on coins...I just don't need a catalogue every year which is a guide only.A detached shamrock 1853 1/4d ww incuse took some tracking down....look in Spink and it really doesn't go much above novice.
