    SCBC 2013

I note Rob has a mention at the start of the book...silver? I would like it to be split into hammered,copper/bronze and silver. I don't buy the bugger every year....sod post decimal. Gold is based on bullion which can never be accurate.

Lashings of ginger beer all round...those first dripping buds were always too strong for me.I spent a night speaking to a horse. My steering wheel home after a Tree fair was bigger than the London Eye.That was a long time ago.

You're not on your own! I had also starting looking through a couple of my old images to see if I could pair anything up! Doh! Me too - I've had Freeman for a mere 34 years and only just realised it had that Appendix III He said you used to make him a bit sore Peck the Kidneywiper

    FAKE COINS

Don't get stressed out for £310...it really isn't worth it. Name and shame and what goes round comes round.
  21. Heritage Auction (World Coins) the one after January is April 17th , then September. The coin will need to be submitted to PCGS Paris. Balwins,Dix Noonan,Knightsbridge & London Coin Co are Agents (anyone live nearby or has anyone got a good contact?)_ I did pick up a slabbed PCGS florin MS65 from the UK.(not PCGS prices but UK unc) This maybe the way to go in checking any PCGS graded coins at non internet auctions. I've googled PCGS UK and on a forum one poor chap paid over $200 for slabbing and then had to pay $100 border tax to get his coins back. Methinks we need a bit of research.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

You want to see extreme clipping http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Henry-VI-Groat-Rosette-Calais-Spink1859-/150962138031?pt=UK_Coins_BritishHammered_RL&hash=item23260b6baf
  23. Right The idea is implanted. Say we went for a raw Silver UK coin max price the team buys at £500.Expenses say 20% for slabbing etc. £600 should cover the cost. If it fails to get in the slab just put it back in the raw market. Food for thought over Xmas chaps. Before we close a deal and start PM's who would want in?6 would be ideal. Which coin shall we go for? 6d,1/-,2/-,2/6,crown? Rob's selection would give me confidence on his nous and grading ability. or pick a Predecimal/Cooke/Snowdon/Riley/Lloyd Bennet/Ebay!!!! coin. It could be fun Keep the thread going before we go underground. £100 investment which will be worth at least £75 and the sky is the limit.
