Great idea on the wet room.I helped my Mother with hers and with the addition of a waterproof radio and a plastic garden chair in the shower you can't keep her out of it.

Hi Phil Welcome to the forum. If you list what you don't want we can give advice on selling, advice is free and friendly I suspect ebay will be be and outlet. You did make me grimace with "pots of predecimal" this needs sorting before untold damage occurs. The modern stuff will probably not go up or down over the short term.

This seems to be widespread in the sinister world of slabbing.

Who would you recommend for a club/institution ?I was with a group based in Swansea until the founder died and his widow didn't want to take the club further. For a few £ I got insurance and decent news letters. I haven't bothered since. I need to get back in the frame.

Rob and Pete Manc mafia no doubt.

Great picture.I have a Garrett 250. It can be difficult to get permissions.20 yrs ago was much easier. A chap I know used to slip the foreman a drink on new housing sites and filled his boots up. His cabinet of finds was jaw dropping.

LCA do a regular auction and were part of CGS now LCGS I believe. To their credit they get most things right. On the more expensive coins keep your wallet shut until you know what you are buying. The dealer is probably spending your Olympic coins down the pub at face ...I wouldn't be prepared to list on Ebay. Imagine ebay, paypal and P&P fees.Your dealer sounds like scammer and one to avoid. -

I like ebay because it is a 24/7 resource.Back when £1 - $2 i filled my boots up from the US.it can be hard work but I still enjoy burning some mid-night oil.

I was born in the early 60's and loved the "old" coins.Parents friends and my family always gave me what they found. My Godmother bought me a Smiths album on my 5th birthday and I soon filled this up.On holiday in the early 70's I got my 1st George 1 1/4d....I was hooked. I had all 4 of check your change booklets and still going in the hobby.

1970 & 1971 Proof sets help
Peter replied to pokal02's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
They are a big loss leader.I bought 10 sets off Pete for £40.Do I like them? The only one I admire is the 1970 set.The rest just get tucked away.I pity mugs for buying them in the 1st place. RM hang your heads in shame. BTW RM were trying to sell post 1920 6d's for £24.95 and these were circulated Jizz. -
Better than Cobie but both are waynekers. Surely labour can do better.May will sail this one. So many spin doctors.Blair sacrificed himself with war and I certainly wouldn't want Cobie.Blair dips into Sherry....Hat off.
