In the past we often used to go for long walks on a Sunday armed with my SLR. I would shoot 36 photographs and post them to bonus photo or the like...it was quite cheap and exiting awaiting the developed pictures.

Was your Yashica FXG? I was hankering after a Pentax ME super.

I still actually prefer books. -
I'm not bothered with as struck hammered. I go for eye appeal every time. I like nice round coins with as few flat spots as possible I also like to ID them, even cut pennies. Keeps me off the streets.

I used my Praktica on safari in Kenya and the following year on touring the West Coast of USA. We went to USA with friends who used a top of the range Cannon SLR....guess who produced the best pictures

You can't leave us gagging. We do need a few pictures. -
Liz 11 coins don't float my boat...OK a 1954 1d might. In my dealer hat on period I bought 40 1959 Scottish shillings. My attempt at selling them on Ebay was a disaster. I recall Declan got one for 99p.

I've got Nikon DSLRS and binoculars. When I was a penny less student I had a Prakctica B200 SLR with Zeiss lenses(I could never part with it)

T DOG I doth my cap for the hours you put in. -
Unbelievable. I'm sure my raw 1932 is as nice and worth £15 to £20.

I will buy to sell but I'm not a dealer but I can't refuse a bargain I'm selling mainly to trim down my collection to a reasonable size. Previously I was getting my daughters involved in the process so they could have a few things using my paypal. I've recently bought some great copper from my favorite US dealer. All duplicates but should earn a few £,000.

They will make what they can and grade as they like. Grading is subjective and if I picked up a bargain I'm not obliged to pass on my good luck. I have 2 ebay accounts one mainly for buying and one mainly for selling. I'm in a good mood...now!!!! tonight because a while back Mrs Peter reversed her car into a wall and broke the rear passenger lens. Hyundai wanted £350+ for a new unit. The cheapest I could get a lens from the breakers was £110 + delivery. I've just bought a 2nd hand (unused unit) for £75 delivered. I should be able to get her running around me for a few days. My MG also got 100% at the MOT test

Hi Chris Welcome. My coins relax me and I find the learning part rewarding. If you want to dabble in hammered I would suggest you purchase a book "Englands Striking History" to whet your appetite. £7 or £8 from this site or amazon.

I only kept 1 sov back when gold hit silly money.I took the profit (up to 500% in a few years) I kept my guineas. Copper and bronze sovs are my 1st choice (farthings use the same dies) Welcome to the forum.
