Typical Rangers / Celtic riots in St Georges Square. The yes vote had been having it large for the last few days. A member from my coin forum was abused by that mob because he refused one of their leaflets & he was with his wife and kids. He is as Scottish as they come but also British Over 300 years of the Union must not be thrown away. We have 3 cars live in a village and can get about. Our bus service has been shredded over the last few years so some of the poorer (mainly old can't get about) Vote yes for an independent East Anglia.

    Which one to choose?

Doesn't seem a price. Nice coin. You can see what the hammer price at London coins. Then you have to pay juice.

  12. I didn't realise you were 90 something!! Sometimes I feel it at 3:35am...all hell broke loose because our springer has perfected opening doors and followed by the cat and kitten straight on the bed.Mrs Peter blamed me.My darling daughters thought it was cold and put the heating on.bah humbug.I do like a sloppy kiss is bed and pussey but not at 3:30am.
  13. You will have to pay import duties soon.
  14. I like truhpenny bits. I collect because i can. At the grand old age of 50 something my sister bought me a 1914 shilling 40 years ago.As a butchers boy next to a coin shop my Saturday wages went quickly I was allowed to lock up and was allowed to take a Sunday roast home. Even better if I slipped 2lbs sausages into my donkey jacket i had made the buggers at 6am.

    Coin Monthly 1970.

I saw a load of bands and found my 1st love at a gig in Cambridge. The Ramones was the loudest blast ever and the corn exchange was like one big toilet. I have a tear in my eye. My ears still shudder to this day.

  21. I think it would be a good idea to start a thread on Chinese fakes of UK coins(SEUK you are OK I'm not out to hang contemporary counterfeits) 1 1763 Northumberland shilling 2 Gothic Victorian Crown 3 Edward V11 1905 halfcrown 4 1798 George 111 guineas 5 Victoria crowns-1887 to 1900 6 Henry V111 groats 7 1818 George 111 halfcrown 8 1819 George 111 halfcrown there are the other fakes which are well known but not necessarily of Chinese origin. Ashmore coins.Museum reproductions. Look out for Copy,R,WRL(Westair reproduction coins)discreetly marked and a pewter 1562 (sixpence size) coin. This has a heart shaped indentation on the reverse (top left hand corner) The Chinese are also faking sovereigns of different mints. If anyone can add more Chinese fakes which are fooling experienced collectors and dealers please list them (start at 9 please so we can produce a logical list). We can link these back to examples of the various fakes.
